How do companies like Vox and Buzzfeed acquire videos?

I will talk about how companies like Buzzfeed and Vox get videos they can use, I will be going over how to get Paid Access, Licensing Content(videos) from other publishers, Ask for permission to use someone's videos, getting Free stock videos/footage.    

Big media companies like Vox and Buzzfeed, have paid access to stock video and images which you can too, they also sometimes offer free videos for you to use as long as you sign up with them, here are few sites below that can be used as a good resource.
